Skyhawks Basketball | Ages 7-9 | PJCC Foster City Ready for more? Our 7-9 program builds on fundamentals with advanced drills, game strategy, and full-court scrimmages across a full ten-week season. Great for kids with some experience or those ready for a challenge. WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN Progressive skill development week by week: ball handling moves, passing accuracy, shooting mechanics, defensive positioning, offensive plays, and team strategy. Ten weeks is long enough to actually run a play by the end of it. Each session includes a life skill lesson — respect, teamwork, perseverance — taught through basketball. CLASS STRUCTURE (60 MINUTES) Welcome and life skill intro, dynamic warm-up, skill instruction with coaching cues, practice drills, competitive skill games like "Dribble Knockout" and relay races, then huddle up to review. DETAILS Location: PJCC Upstairs Gymnasium Dates: Mondays, October 5 - December 14 Time: 5:00 - 6:00 PM Sessions: 10 (no class November 23-27, Thanksgiving week) Price: $199 Class size: Maximum 12 athletes WHAT TO BRING Athletic shoes, water bottle, comfortable clothes. CONVENIENT FOR FAMILIES WITH TWO KIDS Our back-to-back classes — ages 5-7 at 3:45, ages 7-9 at 5:00 — mean one trip to the JCC covers both. ALREADY IN TREEHOUSE? If your child is enrolled in Treehouse, Treehouse staff will walk them over to class. No extra pickup for you.
